When I first started my blog, I didn’t have much of an idea of what I wanted to write about. Truthfully, I didn’t know how to start creating a place like this, I just wanted to spill out my thoughts and help people, if I could. And as I got more into writing and interacting with the greater blogger community, I noticed that some people really liked my rambles or found something in me that was relatable. Which is pretty nice.
And as I started revamping my blog over the Summer of ’18, I decided that I wanted my blog to be a getaway. A little happy place on the internet where anyone could come, interact and get whatever they needed. Which gets more into why I write.
I write because I want every single person who comes across my blog to know that whatever they come across in life, they aren’t alone. I might not have gone through it personally, but someone has and I promise you can make it through.
I write because I have experienced a good amount of struggles so far and if talking about what I have been through can help even one person struggle a little less, then that alone makes this whole blog worth it.
I write because it calms me down, I find it so soothing to sit and write about whatever it is that comes to me and releasing it for the entire internet is sometimes scary, but mostly relieving.
So…. what is “Iscariotte”?
I wrote a little about why Iscariotte is significant to me here, but since meanings change as time passes, here’s how I can explain Iscariotte to you now:
Sometimes, you get a feeling like you’re different. Like whatever you’re doing will knock you off track and keep you off it. But then sometimes, you get a pestering, a nagging that maybe you’re doing just fine. If that makes any sense… Iscariotte is to me a declaration of individualism and conglomeration. It states that we might all be different, but we’re the same in our irrational insecurities. And that sometimes, that’s okay.
I think that starting my blog has been one of the most positive decisions I have made and I love so much that people can benefit from it. Whether you’ve been following me or just came across my blog, thanks for reading!
