Bucket List: 2018 Edition

buck·et list

noun

informal
  1. a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime.
“making this trip is the first thing on my bucket list”

This year, I’m hoping to get a lot accomplished. It’s a year of a lot of promise and I’m hoping to make it as memorable as possible!

Visit

California

I’m an East Coaster, through and through. Despite my friends’ and significant other’s varied attempts to give the West Coast a chance, I didn’t make much of an effort. But this year, I think I’ll give into the hype and try to see what’s so special about the “——” state.

Seattle

My plans for after college is the move as far away from New York as possible. It’s been a part of my identity for such a long time and Seattle was one of the places that I was interested in moving to. But before I commit to moving there, I obviously have to visit it.

Canada

I grew up extremely close to Canada. The closest I’ve ever gotten to it was when my family and I traveled up to Niagara Falls from the city; unfortunately, we stayed on the American side. But considering I’m already eyeing visiting Seattle, I should be able to come up with a go enough excuse to visit Vancouver and such.

Learn French & Russian

I’ve already started learning Russian and am at beginner’s-intermediate’s level. And hopefully, by the end of this year, I want to be at a solid intermediate level with the language! French has always been another language that I’ve been interested in and thus, I really want to commit to learning it this year as well.

Improve Sleeping Habits

Self-explanatory.

Get Wilderness First Responder Certified (or CPR certified)

Get Driver’s License

What about you guys? Do you guys have any more concrete goals besides your resolutions that you’re hoping to achieve?

For the most part, they’re fairly achievable goals and I’ll be keeping this post updated as I cross them off this list. Maybe I’ll even finish them early and add to the list as the year progresses.
